going out and really doing it

1:06 PM

It's so easy to say you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, but doing it is a whole different matter. It's easy to say your are ready to take up the cross and be a follower of Christ, but it takes guts to turn it into reality.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father." John 14:12

We can't just say it - we have to do it. This doesn't mean you have to become a famous Christian singer, a pastor, or a missionary, but it means being the person God has called you to be. It means we try to let Christ's love shine through us in everything we do - not letting the world control us.
We need to live for Him and know that He has a purpose and plan for us. No matter what we do, whatever we say, or anything, know that it should be in love. Loving everyone around us - matter who they are or where they walk in life. God is love, and loves us unconditionally, wanting us to be the same way in our everyday lives.
We can't just say we're going to do something and never do it - we have to truly live it out. We are put in this life for a purpose, no one is a mistake - we aren't just here to have a good time and worry about doing God's work later - we're here to be witnesses for Christ! This is in everything we do - while we go to work, college, school, church, everywhere!

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16
