I now take a quick break from my regular posting to do a review of a recent book that is definitely one to think about adding to your TBR! 

One night changes everything for three women. . . .
When Addison Killbourn's husband is involved in a car accident that leaves a woman dead, her perfectly constructed life crumbles apart. 
Emilia Cruz is a deputy bearing a heavy burden far beyond the weight of her job. Her husband is no longer the man she married, and Emilia's determined to prevent others from facing the same hardship. 
Brianne Demanno is hiding from reality. She was thriving as a counselor, but when tragedy struck a beloved client, she lost faith in herself and her purpose. 
As the lives of these women intersect, they can no longer dwell in the memory of who they've been. Can they rise from the wreck of the worst moments of their lives to become who they were meant to be?

First off, can we talk about how beautiful the cover is?? More Than We Remember caught me first off by the cover, and then the back cover blurb is enough to catch my attention as well. Lives intersecting from one night tragedy and seeing that play out -- UMM YES PLEASE. 


Pros...
The plot. Unique enough not be be cliche, dealing with harder issues but not allowing them to be the focus. I honestly didn't know how it was end.

The characters. I loved their depth! Normally I wouldn't enjoy focusing on so many different characters at once just for the fact I won't get the chance to see their personalities shine through. This was not the case here. 
Each woman has her own story and More Than We Remember weaves a solid plot. One of my personal favorite people was Emilia. Her being a lady officer, I found extremely interesting without throwing the whole girl-power.

Cons...
Too many characters (at first). I don't know how the author could have managed it differently, but I was terribly confused in the beginning who I was reading about. In general too many names = confusion. It was probably just me?
Other than that one beginning issue, I found none. The writing is tight, the plot solid, and (like I said) we have an eye pleasing cover. What more you want for a contemporary fiction?

Overall...
This is a beautiful book. While not focusing solely on the heart ache of the moment of that one night, while not trying to teach us a lesson through reading, the author takes us on a journey of broken women struggling to thrive, who are burdened with their own home-issues but come together and fight together. It's a story on forgiveness, light in the darkness, and how our lives will intertwine without us realizing or trying.
