A List of Blessings...And the Winners of My Giveaway

Sometimes listing blessings in your life can come out as more as a prayer of thankfulness to God.....it's taking the time to appreciate what He's done, that He cares not only that you're safe, but He gives you little surprises and rays of sunshine in the darkness.

6. Plane tickets to see faraway friends
7. Fall leaves
8. Spearmint gum
9. A library that allows you to rents movies for free
10. I Love Lucy when you're sick...and for when you're not
11. Good books
12. Seeing revival take place in parts of America
13. A new season of When Calls the Heart - I'm so in love with Pastor Frank!
14. Finding someone to fan over Sherlock with...she agreed with EVRYTHING I said - including about Mary.
15. Loving grandparents who take you on long trips

18. Friends overseas who write equally long e-mails.

20. A mother willing to watch Harry Potter with her adult daughter and discuss it
21. Red lipstick...because currently I'm in love with it
22. Black, insulated. high tops for this cold girl

24. A sister willing to go grocery shopping with you and push the cart
25. A father who prays over you when you're ear is infected and you didn't sleep the night before
26. An amazing friend who shared with me so many shows that I'm now in love with - like Sherlock.
27. A nice, long letter in the mail
28. Pictures on instagram that aren't just selfies - I love finding those rare ones on my feed
29. Free full episodes of old TV shows on youtube
30. Hiking boots for five dollars
31. Brothers willing to kill spiders for you
31. Brothers not only willing to do that but laugh and joke with me.
31. And watching those same brothers grow and mature as godly young men.
32. Blogging for over five years and still in love with it.
33. A library willing to overlook that we hadn't returned their books for days after they were due
34. A bag of books for a dollar
35. Finding out that your cousin and you share the same childhood fictional crushes. Go team Michael Landon, Dr. Mcneil from Christy and Jack Thorton! Haha.
36. Warm slippers
37. Visiting Gettysburg and having family that loves history as much as you do. I fanned all through the drive
38. Christmas movies on Hallmark



39. Keeping up with faraway friends after seven years
40. Flannels
41. Finding camo cargo pants that aren't too short
42. Deer meat in soup


43. A family that puts up with my panic attacks...
and then the biggest blessing: having no panic attacks at a fall party. I just felt so much peace inside when I went
44. Money in the bank
45. Sales papers in the Sunday paper...for some reason I love looking at them
46. Old Black and White movies
47. The show Sherlock - it changed my life
48. A dad who shared with me his love for old shows - beginning with Andy Griffith at the age of nine.
49. Free channels on TV - like MeTV that showed me I Love Lucy
50. Finding clean sit coms
51. IMDB - to find those clean sit coms and to read the parental guidance even though I am an adult. I still like keeping it clean...
52. A Star Wars calendar from the dollar tree


 

53. A well underlined Bible
54. Cry-worthy episodes of TV shows that inspire this heart
55. Woopie-Pies from Lancaster PA
56. Cold weather that blows snow and turns the mountains white
57. Delight and Be facebook group. My go-to for advice.
58. GIFs that make me smile
59. Finishing Harry Potter and FINALLY finding my voice on the franchise
60. A lanyard (with a Sherlock charm!) so I won't keep losing my lone key
61. A cell phone that works for emergencies even if it takes at least ten minutes to turn on
62. Living in a small town where everyone knows everyone
63. A Savior who continues to call my brokenness beautiful
64. Frost
65. Packing almost fifty shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse

66. A nice guy nurse to help you when you go to the doctor (I hate going) who put's you at ease completely and utterly, making you laugh and keeping you calm.

    1. Thanks so much! I have to say, the scenery is the reason for the pictures and I daresay - not my photography skills. It was a gorgeous morning by the pond and the lighting couldn't have been more perfect.

  4. I like this list and the autumnal photos. :) It's inspiring! I find my lists of blessings turn into thank you prayers too. I keep a running list of things I'm thankful for, writing them down as they come up, and you're on there multiple times. ;)

  5. I absolutely love this time of year because it really is a reminder to be thankful for all that I've been given by the grace of God. Worship music is one of my favorite things and I'm thankful for so many talented artists who can help me worship God.
